To the south of Antofagasta, a section of Route 5 was paved with TCP technology, between Los Marios and Agua Verde. This project was paved by the construction company FV, in a thickness of 18 cm for the high traffic of the road.

In the construction, dry concrete was used in big bags of Cementos Melón, which was mixed with mixers in the field. This solution, plus the TCPavements technology, allowed concrete to enter this project in the middle of the desert of Chile, with an expected useful life of more than 20 years.
